Tigers turn their attention to Virginia

NEW YORK — Clemson got the opportunity to enjoy it is win over Boston College in the ACC Tournament for just a little while on Thursday before turning its attention to today’s semifinal game against top-ranked Virginia at 7 p.m. at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The last time the Tigers played Virginia, the Cavaliers held them to 36 points in a 61-36 defeat in Charlottesville, Va., back on Jan. 23. The 36 points were the lowest by a Clemson team in 20 years that night.

However, that was the Tigers’ first game without star forward Donte Grantham, who tore his ACL against Notre Dame on Jan. 20. Since then they have learned how to play without their senior leader and they feel they will be better prepared for Virginia this time around.
