Swinney explains Lawrence has to earn his job

By

When Dabo Swinney was asked Wednesday if he was glad he had a clear-cut quarterback in Trevor Lawrence this year, as opposed to last spring when he was fielding questions about Lawrence’s quarterback battle with former Tigers Kelly Bryant and Hunter Johnson, the Clemson head coach said, “It is not his job.”

“He has to win the job. That is the wrong narrative,” Swinney continued. “Nobody has a job. You have to prove it all over again.”
