Watson isn’t worried about anything

The first day of fall camp has come and gone.

Deshaun Watson is back on the field. Ray Ray McCloud is already working with the second-team offense and Trevion Thompson is not taking a backseat to Deon Cain.

These are just some of the things we learned from the first day of fall camp, and what a day it was.

McCloud gave us a glimpse of what it might to be like this fall. He showed a lot of wiggle while playing behind Artavis Scott. Cain, though working with the third team offense, was confusing the defensive backs for much of the afternoon. He also laid out for a ball in the end zone for a touchdown.

Watson, who practiced for the first time since Nov. 29, was impressed with his new offensive weapons.

“They looked good,” he said. “There’s a lot for a freshman (to learn) in the first training camp. It is going to be tough. There is a lot of install and a lot of things going on, but they came in this summer and we have been working with them and coaching them up.

“Mike Williams, Artavis, Charone (Peake) and (Germone Hopper), all of those guys have been doing a great job of teaching the younger guys and making sure we build that depth and that trust in case we need them this season. They have been working hard and each day they have been trying to get better.”

Speaking of getting better, Watson says he is feeling good.
