Reed offers Charlotte DB

Last week, Clemson defensive backs coach Mike Reed sent out an offer to 2016 safety [autotag]Myles Dorn[/autotag].

The senior from Vance High School in Charlotte got word of the offer during a phone conversation with Reed.

“He talked to my parents and explained everything, made sure it was OK with my parents,” Dorn said. “He explained where they wanted me to play and why they offered.”

West Virginia hosted Dorn for an official visit last weekend. This weekend, he’ll head to N.C. State. UNC will host him later this month.

Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, South Carolina and Tennessee have also offered. Clemson offered him as a safety.

“Clemson is a good school, so you want that option,” Dorn said.

The three-star prospect is graduating in December, so he’ll make a decision within the next couple of months.

“I know I’m going to Clemson,” Dorn said, when asked about a trip to Tigertown.

On the offensive side of the ball, Dorn has 40 catches for over 600 yards with five touchdowns.
