Florida RB sees Clemson again

Big, bruising running backs are profiled as running back takes for Clemson.

Four-star Colin Wilson certainly fits the bill. The 6-foot, 205-pound prospect from Green Cove Springs-Clay (Fla.) made the trip up to Tigertown last Saturday for the Georgia Tech game.

“It was fun. It was just wet and cold,” he said.

Clemson hosted Wilson in the spring for the Orange and White game, and the interest between the two parties is mutual.

“They gave the running back the ball a lot,” Wilson said. “They blew out Georgia Tech and they just feed the running back a good bit. They throw him the ball and the know how to use him.”

He added, “They use him a good bit. I like how they use them. I wouldn’t mind going there if I committed.”

While in town, Wilson spoke with co-offensive coordinator/area recruiter Jeff Scott.

“Me and him have been talking a lot, so there wasn’t really a lot, he was just saying to come talk to him on the field. Since they kind of blew them out, we left (early),” Wilson said.

The game day atmosphere impressed the No. 8 running back in the class of 2017 (Rivals).

“It was fun. I liked it. It was a nice place, loud,” he said.

Later this season, Wilson will head to Alabama for the Auburn game. He also hopes to squeeze in a game at Florida.

Clemson, Auburn and Florida are thought to occupy spots in his lead group, though Wilson claimed that he has no favorites

“I haven’t thought about it,” he said.

Through four games this season, Wilson has 51 caries for 240 yards and six touchdowns.
