It’s been almost a full year since Sean Pollard pulled the trigger on his commitment to Clemson.
The four-star offensive lineman from Southern Pines, N.C. took his official visit this weekend.
Pollard was joined by three other official guests: Tre Lamar, Nyles Pinckney and former South Carolina commitment Bryan Edwards
“It nice was to hang out with them. We’re starting to bond a little more since we’re coming in January, so all that kind of good stuff, it was awesome,” Pollard said of the Clemson commitments.
The group welcomed Edwards in with open arms.
“He’s a good guy. He’s hilarious,” Pollard said. “We’ll see. I mean, he seemed like he was interested in Clemson, so we’ll see if jumps on board. We definitely recruited him some this weekend, so we’ll see how that goes.”
Overall, the weekend went well for Pollard.
“It was awesome just to get down and hang out for a couple of days, just take time, hang out with a couple of players. It was amazing,” he said.
Noah Green hosted Pollard, who also spent time with several of the current freshmen, including Sterling Johnson, Albert Huggins Mitch Hyatt and Zach Giella.
“The best part of the weekend, probably, was talking to the current players (and) just getting the inside scoop on stuff,” Pollard said. “I’m still not there, so I don’t know what goes on, on a day-to-day basis. They were just talking about how what you get when coaches are trying to recruit you.
“Once you get here, they care about the person. I mean, yes, they want to win football games, but they want you to become a successful man, rather than just using you as a piece of meat basically.”
