For the first time since he committed in August, four-star offensive tackle Noah DeHond visited Clemson.
DeHond, who’s originally from Rochester, N.Y., is a junior at The Peddie School in Highstown, N.J. He was in Tigertown on Saturday for the 33-13 win over Wake Forest.
“It was good. I had a great time. It was really cool for me to see it on game day,” he said.
DeHond added, “It’s definitely how people say it is.”
During the visit, he spent a considerable amount time with graduate assistant Thomas Austin. Coordinator of recruiting communications Jordan Sorrells was at his side, too. DeHond, of course, also met with Dabo Swinney and Robbie Caldwell.
He plans to be back a few times this spring.
“I think I’m going to do an overnight. I have a really long spring break…then come back for the spring game and come back for one more, but I don’t know. We’ll have to see,” DeHond said.
In the meantime, he looks forward to watching Clemson’s run for the College Football Playoff.
“It’s definitely very exciting…it’s fun to watch them and see that No. 1 next to their name on ESPN,” DeHond said.
Clemson landed his commitment over Alabama and UNC. Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, South Carolina, UCLA, Virginia and Virginia Tech also offered.
Several schools are still in contact.
“My mailbox is pretty full, but I don’t talk with anyone else, but I still get the flyers from different schools,” DeHond said.
