Djitte gets it done

GREENVILLE — Clemson’s Sidy Djitte started his second straight game at center for Clemson on Tuesday, and he responded with 12 points and 13 rebounds in the Tigers 69-41 victory over Presbyterian at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville.

It was Djitte’s second double-double of his career, which came earlier this season when he had 13 points and 11 rebounds in Clemson’s win over Texas Southern on Nov. 19. Against the Blue Hose on Tuesday, the junior connected on 6 of 8 shots from the floor. He also had one blocked shot and a steal in the 12 minutes he played.

Landry Nnoko added eight points and nine rebounds off the bench and had three blocked shots in 20 minutes. He shot 4 of 6 from the field.

Clemson (7-3) will host No. 25 South Carolina on Friday with tip off set for 7 p.m. The Gamecocks are looking to go 10-0 for the first time since the 1933-’34 season.
