Thomas talks Junior Day

Clemson hosted a boatload of top prospects from the class of 2017 on Saturday.

Among the Junior Day guests in Tigertown was four-star offensive tackle Andrew Thomas. The Atlanta-Pace Academy was one of several highly-rated offensive linemen to visit for the Tigers’ first Junior Day event of the year.

Afterwards, Thomas (6-5, 285) spoke with TheClemsonInsider about his first trip back to Clemson since the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.

Here’s what the No. 7 offensive tackle (Rivals) in the class of 2017 had to say:

How was the visit?

Thomas: “I enjoyed the vibe I got from Clemson. It is a very family-oriented place.”

What all did you get to see and do?

Thomas: “We toured all the football facilities and most of the academic buildings.”

What were the coaches talking about with you?

Thomas: “Just how Clemson is built on hard work and receiving what you earn. Also, that you can be both academically and athletically excellent.”

What was the main thing that stood out today? Anything in particular?

Thomas: “Just the people and the environment.”

Where are things for you right now with favorites? Do you have any kind of a list?

Thomas: “Not yet. Just weighing all my options right now.”

Do you have any other plans for visits/junior days?

Thomas: “I might be visiting UGA and South Carolina, not sure when though.”
