The freshman outfielder from Suwanee, GA went 10-for-17 (.588) in five games last week to earn his third TCI Hitter-of-the-Week award. Beer had four doubles, two homers, five RBI, eight runs, four walks, and a HBP for a .682 on-base percentage and a 1.176 slugging percentage.

Clemson, ranked as high as #12 in the country, swept two midweek games at The Citadel before sweeping a three-game home series from #22 Boston College. The Tigers outscored the opposition 32-10 while outhitting their opponents .287 (50 hits) to .186 (31 hits). On the week, Clemson had 14 doubles, five homers, 25 walks, and six HBPs against 45 strikeouts while going 3-for-7 on stolen bases.
