Andrew Thomas isn’t in all that big of a hurry to make his decision.
The four-star offensive tackle from Atlanta’s Pace Academy (6-5 318) owns plenty of big-time offers, including Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan and Notre Dame.
All schools remain in contention.
“I think, in the summer, I’ll make a list,” Thomas said.
He added, “It will just be the schools I like.”
Clemson hosted him in January, during the first Junior Day event of the year. He’s also been to Notre Dame, Alabama and Auburn in 2016.
For Clemson, co-offensive coordinator/running backs coach Tony Elliott serves as the primary recruiter.
“I’ve been talking to coach Elliott and trying to get up to a spring practice,” Thomas told TCI earlier this month.
He and teammate Jamaree Salyer visited on Monday.
The four visits to Tigertown have made quite an impression.
“It’s a great family-oriented place. I love (offensive line) coach (Robbie) Caldwell. It seems like he’s been doing it for a long time. They have the academic standards as well,” Thomas said.
According to 247, Thomas is ranked as the No. 7 offensive tackle in the class of 2017 and the No. 25 overall prospect.
“I’ll take my officials. If I fall in love with a place, I’ll commit there. And, if not, I’ll wait til Signing Day,” he said.
