Orange and White game visitors

The Orange and White spring game typically provides an opportunity for the members of Clemson’s most recent signing class to come together for their first visit since signing on the dotted line in February.

Several members of the 2016 haul expected to be in town next weekend, including the Kansas guys: Xavier Kelly and Isaiah Simmons. Trayvon Mullen, Diondre Overton and Chandler Reeves have also confirmed their plans to return to Tigertown. Others are expected to join them.

Clemson’s staff will continue to utilize the event as their third Junior Day of the year.

TCI has also heard from several 2017 and 2018 prospects with spring game visit plans. Among them will be at least three of Clemson’s 2017 commitments: Amari Rodgers, Chase Brice and Blake Vinson.

Augusta-Laney (Ga.) defensive tackle Tyrone Truesdell has scheduled his first visit to Clemson, as has four-star JaCoby Stevens (Murfreesboro, Tenn.), one of the recent 2017 safeties to score an offer from Clemson.

Two other 2017 safeties have made plans to visit: Westside’s Lummie Young and Jeremiah Owusu of Hampton, Va.

T.L. Hanna defensive lineman Stephon Wynn Jr., who was offered at last month’s Junior Day, will be among the 2018 guests, which will include Florence-Wilson defensive end Xavier Thomas.

Stay tuned to TCI over the next eight days, as more prospects are confirmed as guests for the Orange and White spring game.
