Clemson extends its edge

Clemson extended its lead over Troy to 20-10 with a touchdown early in the fourth quarter.

On third and goal, Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson connected with defensive lineman Christian Wilkins for a 1-yard scoring toss.

Wilkins’ touchdown catch was the first by a defensive lineman in Clemson history.

The play capped a 13-play, 66-yard drive that lasted 3:44. The key play of the drive was a 9-yard rush by Watson for a third-down conversion earlier in the series.
