Clemson strikes first

Clemson received the opening kickoff and drove 68 yards for a touchdown to open the scoring. Gallman capped off the nine-play drive that spanned 3:55 with a 1-yard touchdown run to give the Tigers a 7-0 lead.

A key 41-yard reception by Jordan Leggett moved Clemson into scoring position at the goal line. Clemson converted a fourth down and inches on the previous play.
