What does Clemson’s Carlos Watkins think of when he thinks of Christmas?
“When I think of Christmas I think of giving. First off you think of Jesus’ birthday,” the defensive tackle said. “But I just think of giving. You know I think it’s the time where a lot of people should give. Give back to the less fortunate.
“I know I wish I could. But hopefully I’ll be able to do that someday but that’s what I really think. Just loving, giving, it’s that time of year.”
As for which meal is better … Christmas or Thanksgiving?
“I kind of have to watch what I eat now. I’m not going to be able to throw down like I did on Thanksgiving. But yeah Christmas meals, they are about as close especially with my family it’s probably close to Thanksgiving. There are more desserts on Christmas than Thanksgiving.”
Watkins and the Tigers will return to Clemson later today and will practice on Monday before departing for Glendale, Arizona. The second-ranked Tigers will play No. 3 Ohio State next Saturday in the Fiesta Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff semifinals.
