Clemson shortstop Logan Davidson is one of the most influential freshman to ever start for the fourth-ranked Tigers.
As the only shortstop from the 2016 recruiting class to be recruited, Clemson Baseball head coach Monte Lee was confident Davidson had the “elite talent and ability” it would take to play for one of the best teams in the country.
The Clemson Insider got the chance to talk to Davidson about his personal interests that go beyond the field.
Who is your favorite MLB player and why?
Davidson: “I would probably go with Mike Trout just because he’s kind of that spark player. He’s got all five tools. He creates a spark for his team. Great hitter, has all the tools so I’d go with Mike Trout.”
When you’re not playing baseball what are you doing?
Davidson: “Well in season that’s not very often but I usually just kind of relax with my friends. Some hobbies, I like to fish a lot. I like to hunt. Things like that but we don’t have time for that during the season.”
Do you have any hidden talents that most people wouldn’t know about?
Davidson: “I mean I can juggle. Pretty good at ping pong if that’s what you’re looking for.”
What’s your favorite movie?
Davidson: “Favorite movie would probably have to be Fast and Furious. The fifth or sixth one is probably my favorite movie.”
What has been your best memory at Clemson so far?
Davidson: “Well it wasn’t necessarily at Clemson but it was beating the Gamecocks there on that Sunday. That was pretty amazing.”
What’s the one food you can’t live without?
Davidson: “I hate to say it but potato chips. I’m a big fan of potato chips.”
What do you like to listen to before the games?
Davidson: “Well something that would pump you up whether it’s like pop or something like that. Just some type of pump up music.”
How would your friends describe you?
Davidson: “I don’t know, maybe annoying.”
Annoying? Why?
Davidson: “I don’t know I just like to mess with people. I’m a really sarcastic guy.”
Where is your favorite place to shop?
Davidson: “I like TJ Maxx.”
