Clemson makes cut for 4-star DT

Raleigh (N.C.) Sanderson 2018 four-star defensive tackle Alim McNeill, who has nearly 30 offers, has narrowed down his recruitment.

McNeill announced a top 10 of Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina, N.C. State, Penn State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech via social media on Thursday.

“I want to thank all the colleges that have offered me,” McNeill said. “I appreciate every offer I have received to further my education and athletic career. In an effort to simplify this process, I have narrowed my options to these schools.”

Clemson offered McNeill in April, and he visited a little less than two weeks later. He visited for the Pittsburgh game last fall, as well.

McNeill is a two-sport standout at Sanderson who also mans right field for the school’s baseball team, and he wants to continue his baseball career in college.

He is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 9 defensive tackle nationally and No. 80 overall prospect in the 2018 class.
