TCI Hitter-of-the Week              #15 Weston Jackson

The redshirt graduate outfielder from Greer, SC went 8-for-14 (.571) in four games last week to earn his first Hitter-of-the-Week award. Jackson had a double, two homers, six runs, seven RBI, and two HBPs with a 1.071 slugging percentage and a .625 on-base percentage.

TCI Pitcher-of-the-Week            #23 Charlie Barnes

The junior lefty from Sumter, SC earned his third Pitcher-of-the-Week award for his performance at NC State on Thursday. In 7.0 innings, Barnes allowed two runs (two earned) on seven hits (.269 OBA) with one walk and 11 strikeouts (tying a career high) in a no-decision.

Weekly Notes:

Clemson, ranked as high as #14 in the country, beat #24 Coastal Carolina Tuesday before dropping two of three games at NC State over the weekend. The Tigers outscored their opponents 38-29 while outhitting the competition .340 (49 hits) to .312 (43 hits). On the week, Clemson had seven doubles, seven homers, 25 walks, and two HBPs against 31 strikeouts while going 3-4 on stolen bases. The Tiger pitching staff had a 7.15 ERA, allowing 29 runs (27 earned) in 34.0 innings with 12 walks against 38 strikeouts. Clemson fielded at a .986 clip, committing two errors in 145 chances.
