The Clemson Insider has confirmed that Spartanburg (S.C.) Day School five-star forward Zion Williamson will visit Clemson this weekend.
TCI can confirm that Williamson will be on campus the entire weekend “for sure,” one source told us. We are still hearing that Clemson is not sure whether the visit will be an official or an unofficial visit.
However, Williamson’s stepfather, Lee Anderson, told TCI that this will be an unofficial visit.
Williamson can take one more official visit if he chooses. He has taken officials to Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and North Carolina.
The early signing period runs through this coming Wednesday. When asked whether Williamson will sign during the early period or wait until the spring, Anderson did not specify.
Williamson has unofficially visited Clemson numerous times, most recently in September for the Tigers’ game against Auburn in Death Valley.
Williamson (6-6, 270) is the top-ranked forward in the 2018 class. As a junior last season, he averaged 36.8 points, 13 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.5 blocks per game.
