Helmet Stickers: No. 1 Clemson 38, No. 7 Miami 3

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Following top-ranked Clemson’s dominating performance in its 38-3 ACC Championship Game victory over No. 7 Miami, The Clemson Insider gave out helmet stickers to Tiger players who contributed with exceptional individual performances.

Ray-Ray McCloud

McCloud did not have a perfect night in the ACC Championship win, but he was Kelly Bryant’s most reliable target Saturday night. He finished with six catches for 100 yards with a long of 25 yards.

The junior wide out was a key part of Clemson’s game plan to stretch the field with the screen game. While McCloud did fumble a punt, he made up for it with his offensive performance.

Kendall Joseph

After not playing since the Florida State game, the junior linebacker was all over the field against the Hurricanes. He was key to the dominating defensive performance and showed his improved mobility on his knee.

Joseph finished with seven total tackles as well as an interception he returned to the Miami 13 that led to a Clemson touchdown.

Christian Wilkins

Junior defensive tackle Christian Wilkins played another impressive game on a big stage and was in the backfield throughout the game. He finished with 0.5 sacks, 1.5 tackles for loss and a pair of pass breakups.

Moving toward the College Football Playoff, Wilkins is going to be key to the success of the Clemson defense against top-notch competition.

Dorian O’Daniel

O’Daniel was his usual self on Saturday night with his lockdown pass coverage and ability to fill gaps in the run game. He finished the game with only four tackles but eliminated throwing lanes while perplexing Miami quarterback Malik Rosier.

Ryan Carter

Carter has been a turnover machine as of late. The graduate corner has been involved in three turnovers in the last two games. Saturday night he picked off Rosier, forced a fumble, broke up a pass and had a tackle.

Clemson won the turnover margin 3-1 against the nation’s most prolific turnover team. Moving into the College Football Playoff, the Tigers need much of the same if they hope to compete for another national title.
