The Clemson Tigers aren’t the only champions this week.
On the same night the Tigers took down Miami 38-3 to win their third ACC Championship in a row, two of Clemson’s top commits achieved a milestone of their own.
Derion Kendrick and B.T. Potter both led South Pointe (S.C.) to the its fourth straight Class AAAA state championship title, thumping Hartsville (S.C.) 38-14.
Kendrick once again had another eye-opening game, completing 14-of-17 passes for 124 yards and three touchdowns while adding 119 yards and another touchdown with his legs.
Potter converted all five of his extra points in addition to kicking a 23-yard field goal.
Both recruits end their high school careers with a near-perfect résumé and will bring their championship pedigrees to Clemson next season.
