Clemson is in the final four for four-star defensive end Curtis Fann. The 2019 prospect from Twin City (Ga.) Emanuel County Institute named Auburn, Clemson, Florida and South Carolina the four finalists in his recruitment Sunday evening via social media.
In addition to his final four, Fann has offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, N.C. State and UAB. South Carolina gave him his first offer in May.
Fann (6-3, 245) earned an offer from Clemson after impressing at the Dabo Swinney Camp in June. He made his first game-day visit to Clemson in November when the Tigers hosted Florida State. Afterward, Fann took to social media and said he had an “absolutely amazing” time in Tiger Town. He told TCI that the hospitality he was shown by Clemson’s staff stood out to him.
“The coaches, how they welcomed me,” Fann said. “They’re just so down to earth and good people.”
Fann is a consensus top-250 prospect in the 2019 class according to the major recruiting services.
Fann’s recruitment took off in the spring following his sophomore season in 2016, when he logged 64 tackles, including 23 tackles for loss, seven sacks and four forced fumbles.
