The 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The annual all-star game is divided into two teams — East vs. West — and features 100 of the top prospects in the country.
Eight Clemson signees and several Clemson targets were selected to play in the game. Here is a look at the Clemson recruits to watch in the Army All-American Bowl:
Clemson signees in the Army Bowl
- #16 Trevor Lawrence, 5-star QB, Cartersville, Ga. (Cartersville High)
- #19 Xavier Thomas, 5-star DE, Florence, S.C. (IMG Academy (Fla.))

** All of Clemson’s signees are on the East squad.
Clemson targets in the Army Bowl
- #2 Patrick Surtain, 5-star CB, Plantation, Fla. (American Heritage School)
Clemson is one of several schools vying to get an official visit from Surtain this month before he signs on National Signing Day in February. LSU, Alabama and Ohio State look to be the stiffest competition for the nation’s top-ranked cornerback right now.
- #9 Leon O’Neal, 4-star S, Cypress, Texas (Cypress Springs High)
O’Neal named Clemson one of his final four schools in December along with Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. The former Aggies commit has taken official visits to A&M and Oklahoma. Clemson and Georgia are expected to get official visits as well. O’Neal made an unofficial visit to Clemson back in April.
- #44 Brendan Radley-Hiles, 5-star CB, Bradenton, Fla. (IMG Academy)
Radley-Hiles will announce his decision during the Army Bowl. He will choose between Clemson, Florida State, Nebraska, Oklahoma and UCLA. All five schools received official visits.
- #8 Tyson Campbell, 5-star CB, Plantation, Fla. (American Heritage School)
As is the case with his teammate Surtain, Clemson is trying to get an official visit from Campbell. Miami, Alabama, Georgia are considered the frontrunners now with Clemson and LSU also in the conversation.
- #44 Dax Hollifield, 4-star LB, Shelby, N.C. (Shelby High)
The possibility of Clemson taking another linebacker in this class isn’t out of the question. Hollifield is a name we’re tracking.
** Campbell, Hollifield and Surtain are on the East team, while O’Neal and Radley-Hiles are on the West squad.
