Princeton (N.J.) Hun School’s Caedan Wallace is one of the most highly recruited junior prospects on the East Coast. The four-star offensive guard has over 20 scholarship offers, with the opportunities to play at Clemson, Penn State, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and a list of other major programs.
Clemson extended an offer to Wallace in December, and he told TCI recently that it is one of the schools showing the most interest at this stage of his recruitment.
“Definitely between Penn State, Clemson and South Carolina,” he said.
Wallace (6-4, 320) said he spoke frequently with Clemson coaches during the contact period last month, including offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell.
“We talked about me joining the program and about how Clemson football works,” Wallace said of Caldwell.
Wallace, who is ranked a top-five offensive guard in the 2019 class, has visited Penn State, South Carolina, Florida State, Florida, South Florida and Central Florida so far this offseason.
He hopes to check out Clemson for the first time sooner than later.
“I’m looking to visit sometime soon,” he said.
Wallace isn’t ready to narrow down his recruitment yet and said it’s too early to say when he will make his decision in the future.
While he hasn’t yet seen Clemson in person, Wallace is already high on the Tigers early in the process.
“Clemson plays at a high caliber of football, which is great when looking at a team,” he said. “Clemson stands high with me.”
Wallace hasn’t scheduled any more visits as of now but is planning to make a couple this spring. He is ranked by Rivals as the No. 2 offensive guard and No. 55 overall prospect in the 2019 class.
