Clemson offers former Florida commitment

Clemson has offered Orlando (Fla.) Jones 2019 outside linebacker/strong safety Marcus Tillman Jr., he announced via social media Saturday night.

“I am truly honored to be offered a full scholarship to play for Clemson University Thank You,” Tillman wrote in a Twitter post.

Tillman (6-3, 215) committed to Florida in June 2017 before reopening his recruitment on Jan. 17 as a result of the coaching change in November. Tillman was re-offered by new Gators coach Dan Mullen a week after he de-committed and called Florida his “childhood dream school” at the time. Tillman visited Florida in early February and was slated to return for the program’s junior day this weekend.

In addition to Clemson, Tillman holds offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Ohio State, South Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and others.
