Jenkins Announces He’s a Tiger

4-star receiver Ryan Jenkins announced his commitment to the Clemson Tigers Sunday night during The Opening.

The 5-10 speedster had narrowed the field to Clemson and Oklahoma State earlier this summer.  Ryan, the younger brother current Tiger defensive back Martin Jenkins, is expected to play slot receiver for the Tigers.

Last month Ryan attended the Dabo Swinney football camp.

Having his older brother at Clemson helped the Tigers, but it wasn’t the only reason Ryan wants to be a Tiger.

“It was a big factor because me and my brother we have a great relationship.  At the end of the day it was my relationship with those coaches.  The atmosphere up there is hard to beat,” said Jenkins.

Ryan becomes the 12 commitment for the Tiger’s 2013 class and the first receiver commitment.
