The ACC went 31-11 during the opening week of the 2013 season, with six teams (Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami (FL), North Carolina, Virginia, and Virginia Tech) sporting undefeated records. Seven teams (Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami (FL), NC State, North Carolina, Virginia, and Virginia Tech) are ranked in at least one of the three major polls this week led by the top-ranked Tar Heels. The three teams slated to join the ACC in coming seasons (Louisville, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh) also started strong by going a combined 8-2 to open the season.

Last weekend the Eagles dropped two of three games at the Country Inn & Suites Invitational at Elon, NC. This weekend Boston College heads to Greenville, NC for the Keith LeClair Classic where they will play three games in two days at East Carolina.
