The ACC went 12-3 in non-conference action to move to 141-39 (.783) on the year. Virginia Tech (4-0) was the only team to have an undefeated week as both Florida State and North Carolina lost their first games of the year last weekend. Six teams (Florida State, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, Virginia, & Virginia Tech) are ranked in at least one of the three major polls this week led by the top-ranked Tar Heels. As we enter the third weekend of ACC play, two series this weekend feature two ranked teams with #16 NC State traveling to #11 Virginia and #9 Georgia Tech heading down to Tallahassee to take on #5 Florida State. 

The three teams slated to join the ACC in coming seasons (Louisville, Notre Dame, & Pittsburgh) have each continued their impressive starts to the 2013 season. The teams have a combined record of 42-13 while Louisville (#4) and Notre Dame (#15) are ranked. All three teams kick off Big East play this weekend.

The Eagles were swept at #9 Georgia Tech last weekend and then had two midweek games postponed due to weather. This weekend Boston College opens its home schedule with #1 North Carolina before midweek games at Northeastern and at home against Bryant.
