While in Florida last month, Jeff Scott stopped by Bishop Moore Catholic to check on four-star offensive lineman Parker Boudreaux.

The Clemson co-offensive coordinator watched Boudreaux work out. Before his 6:30 a.m. evaluation, Scott previously saw Boudreaux in March when he was in Tigertown for Junior Day.

“At Clemson, you can feel the great, outstanding culture in the atmosphere when you are walking around. You can tell right away. It’s all about being a family there,” Boudreaux told TheClemsonInsider, during a recent interview.

“Coach Dabo Swinney is the most down-to-earth guy you’ll ever meet in your life. He’s doing an awesome job and he’s not ever going to BS you. He’s one of the realest.”

Ranked by 247 as the No. 6 guard in the class of 2016, Boudreaux also thinks highly of Clemson’s offensive line coach.

“Coach (Robbie) Caldwell is an amazing dude and I have no idea how he is an OL coach because of how nice he is,” Boudreaux said. “I know a lot about his teachings and techniques because of my trainer, he played for him at Vandy.”

Clemson occupies a spot in his top 10, along with Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia Southern, Iowa, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Penn State.

“I’m visiting Notre Dame in the summer and after that I’m going to narrow it down to a top five,” Boudreaux said.

The trip has been scheduled for June 10-11.

Boudreaux will “try” to take all five of his official visits.

“But I heard it’s real trying to do all five officials,” he said.

A number of factors will be considered as Boudreaux continues through the next few months.

“I just look if it feels like home,” he said. “The culture and atmosphere, academics tradition, program and the chance of playing early.”
