White picked No. 322 in MLB Draft

Clemson’s Eli White was selected No. 322 overall in the 11th round by Oakland in the MLB Players Draft.

The Tigers’ shortstop batted .272 this past season, which included four home runs and 30 RBIs. He also had 24 stolen bases.

White possesses the potential to have a good bat at the next level. He can hit with power at times. He has the ability to be a good hitter, but he needs to be more consistent at the plate.

After committing 24 errors, double the next closest player on the team, at shortstop in 2016, White is likely to be a second baseman in the professional ranks.

Wilson is expected to sign a professional contract and will forgo his senior year at Clemson.
