For the second time this month and the second-to-last time this season, Clemson will welcome a group of prospects to Death Valley when the Tigers host Pittsburgh on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Here is a rundown of the recruits The Clemson Insider has confirmed are planning to be in attendance:
As we reported in The Insider Report on Monday, the headlining visitor this week is slated to be Roswell (Ga.) four-star safety Xavier McKinney.
It is the first of several planned official visits for the early enrollee, who has also scheduled officials to Alabama and Ohio State in November. McKinney currently plans to announce on January 1 during the Under Armour All-American game.
A couple of 2018 three-star prospects are expected to be on hand in Butler (Ga.) Taylor County running back Lyn-J Dixon and Portsmouth (Ohio) Sciotoville offensive guard Blaine Scott.
Dixon owns offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech, with the most recent offer coming from the Gamecocks in late October. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder visited Clemson for the Dabo Swinney Camp in June.
Scott (6-4, 305) holds offers from Arkansas, Florida, Louisville, Miami, Ohio State, Penn State and Pittsburgh among a number of others. Scott is fresh off a visit to Duke for the Blue Devils’ game against North Carolina last night, and he also recently visited Ohio State, Michigan State and Penn State in October, respectively.
Among Clemson’s committed visitors will be Calhoun (Ga.) linebacker Baylon Spector, Citra (Fla.) North Marion offensive lineman Blake Vinson and Trezevant (Tenn.) running back Cordarrian Richardson.
Spector and Vinson are making their official visits. It will be the third time on campus this season for both.
Meanwhile, it will be Richardson’s first trip to Clemson this season.
A pair of other visitors of note are North Myrtle Beach 2018 running back Tyler Gore and Raleigh (N.C.) Sanderson 2018 linebacker Alim McNeill, who has offers from Boston College and Tulane.
Among Clemson basketball’s visitors for this weekend is Phoenix (Ariz.) St. Mary’s four-star power forward K.J. Hymes.
Hymes, a top-150 prospect in the 2018 class, will be at Clemson’s season opener against Georgia tonight as well as the football game tomorrow. The 6-foot-9, 200-pounder possesses offers from Arizona State, BYU, California, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, St. John’s, Virginia and Washington.
