Recruits react to Clemson’s Junior Day

Clemson hosted a large group of the nation’s top 2018, 2019 and 2020 prospects for its second Junior Day of the year, which was held on Saturday.

Afterward, The Clemson Insider reached out to a number of the recruits for their reactions to the day:

Jalen Alexander, CB, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson

“Clemson was amazing. Great facilities, great program, but above all great coaching staff. Everybody was like family to one another.”

Tyus Fields, CB, Cornelius (N.C.) Hough

“I thought it was really impressive with all the new stuff.”

DeMarcco Hellams, WR, Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic

“I enjoyed the visit. The facilities and the campus is amazing. I enjoyed the coaching staff and I also really appreciated how their staff cares about the players, not just their talent. Also how they teach the players life skills.”

Chris Hinton, DE, Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian

“At Clemson it was a great family feel and a feel that I am looking for in a school. The vibe was great and the staff was great. It felt like I am already a part of the family.”

Darnell Jefferies, DT, Covington (Ga.) Newton

“It was my first time there, so I was glad to see a live practice. That was great and the new weight room was great. It’s a great school with a great football program. Dedicated to being excellent on all levels.”

Jacob Lacey, DT, Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren

“Coach Swinney is amazing. Spent a lot of time with coach Bates, also spent time with coach Venables. Facilities are off the chart and a true family atmosphere.”

Harry Miller, OL, Buford (Ga.) Buford

“I liked seeing all the coaches again and looking at the new facilities. (The new facility) is very nice and looks like a lot of fun.”

Wanya Morris, OL, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson
