First baseman Andrew Cox helped Clemson take an early 1-0 lead over Charleston Southern on Tuesday evening with a single in the bottom of the second inning.

After a quick first inning, Cox was able to get the first run of the night on the board with a single RBI to left center.

Shortstop Logan Davidson got on base by drawing a walk, and Cox’s hit sent him home.

The Tigers now enter the top of the third inning leading theBuccaneers 1-0.
