After receiving an offer from Clemson in late June, Buford (Ga.) 2019 four-star offensive tackle Harry Miller returned to Clemson for a visit on Tuesday.
He spoke in depth with Allison Waymyers, Clemson’s Director of Career & Professional Development, about the program’s player development initiative, P.A.W. Journey.
“It was very nice to talk with the coaches and people involved in P.A.W. Journey,” Miller said. “We talked about a lot of academics and networking that Clemson has.”
Miller, who recently went to Nicaragua on a church mission trip, also spent time with Robbie Caldwell after Clemson’s offensive line coach got back to campus from Dabo Swinney’s media golf outing at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.
“We talked about mission work and about the upcoming season for me and Clemson,” Miller said.
Miller (6-4, 310) has seen his recruitment explode since Virginia Tech pulled the trigger on his first offer in April.
Offers from Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State and Tennessee rolled in last month following offers from Florida, Michigan and Texas A&M among others in May.
Where does Clemson stand right now?
“I like Clemson a lot,” Miller said.
“They care a lot about making sure that you’re successful after Clemson,” he added.
Miller feels Clemson, Florida, Georgia and Virginia Tech are recruiting him the hardest in the early going.
With a slew of new offers, he isn’t naming any favorites right now and doesn’t currently have a timetable for his future commitment.
“I don’t know when I will make a decision,” he said. “The culture, academics and networking are very important (factors).”
Miller’s next visit is scheduled for South Carolina on Friday.
Miller also visited Clemson for its spring game in April after attending the Tigers’ junior day in March. He took in a couple of games in Death Valley last season, as well.
