Clemson always looks to load up on big, smart offensive linemen that fit its system and with the 2019 class shaping up to be larger than the last two recruiting cycles that should not change. The Tigers have plenty of big names lined up for recruitment and Peach state tackle Harry Miller is one of them.
The Buford (Ga.) product holds 17 offers from ACC, Big Ten and SEC schools, and he plans on taking several visits this fall in addition to going to see Michigan play Michigan State.
Miller has “been to Clemson many times and I’ve seen and done essentially everything,” but said there is a “very high” probability he will be able to make it to a Clemson game to experience the game day atmosphere.
“I’m excited for the game day atmosphere definitely,” he said.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound tackle told The Clemson Insider as of right now, Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia and Florida are showing the most interest in him. Miller has many A-list schools showing him interest, and there is still plenty of time left in his recruitment, but the reigning National Champions appear to be at the top of his list.
“Right now I’m interested in a lot of schools, but Clemson is definitely very close to the top for me,” he said.
He also told TCI Clemson will most likely be one of his top schools when he makes his final decision. Miller says the factor that could clinch where he chooses to attend will be academics and Clemson fits the bill.
“I think number one for me is academics,” he said. “They seem very involved with academics and the networking is great.”
While academics might be his deciding factor, the No. 10 tackle in the class of 2019 said it does not hurt that Clemson is one of the top football programs in the country.
“Of course they have a great football team,” he said. “They are very impressive.”
Miller is not sure when he will make his final decision, but said he will start to narrow down his choices once he takes a closer look at schools this fall. It has been about two months since Miller received his offer from Clemson and it still feels as special to him as it did the day he got it.
“Definitely. It is very impactful and very special,” he said.
