Hunter Johnson: It was exciting

Clemson backup quarterback Hunter Johnson waited patiently for his chance and put in a strong performance once he hit the field in his first game at Clemson on Saturday.

The freshman threw for 39 yards on 5 of 6 passing in the Tigers’ 56-3 victory over Kent State in the season opener.

Johnson was excited about playing in Death Valley for the first time.
