Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables is not looking forward to Saturday’s 8 p.m. game when No. 2 Clemson visits No. 14 Louisville this Saturday at Papa John’s Stadium in Louisville, Ky.
Why? Because the Cardinals still have Lamar Jackson playing quarterback. Jackson is once again having a great year. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner is averaging 505.0 total yards per game, including 525 against North Carolina last weekend.
“It is fun, but the more you see of it, the more sick you get,” Venables said. “I’ll be honest, because its like, all of the plays he makes even when he is not there. That’s a good call and then you are looking for the result and its plus-9.”
