How did Clemson’s commits perform in their games on Friday night? The Clemson Insider has you covered with the top performances from future Tigers in Week 12:

Clemson wide receiver commit Derion Kendrick, who plays quarterback for South Pointe (Rock Hill, S.C.), scored four total touchdowns to lead the Stallions past Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, S.C.) in the second round of the Class 4A state playoffs.

Kendrick completed 12 of 18 passes for 273 yards, including touchdowns of 30 and 26 yards. He also rushed eight times for 125 yards and scores of 20 and 70 yards on the ground.

Kendrick’s teammate and fellow Clemson commit, B.T. Potter, made a big impact with his leg in the game. BHP started eight of its 10 drives at the 20-yard line thanks to Potter’s strong leg. He also kicked six extra points as well as a field goal of 27 yards.

Things stayed status quo for five-star Clemson commit Trevor Lawrence, who shined again as he paced Cartersville (Ga.) to a 48-21 win over Pickens County (Jasper, Ga.) in the first round of the A Private state playoffs. Lawrence hit on 10 of 13 passes for 272 yards and four touchdowns in the first half.

Clemson defensive back commit Kyler McMichael serves as the primary running back for Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, Ga.) and helped his team get off to a fast start during its 49-7 win over Jackson County (Jefferson, Ga.) in the first round of the Class 3A state playoffs.

McMichael scored on touchdown runs of 73 and 5 yards in the first quarter before tacking on a 14-yard rushing score in the second quarter to give his team a 21-0 lead out off the gate.

Other scores of note: Clemson defensive tackle commit Josh Belk and Lewisville (Richburg, S.C.) pulled out a 24-22 overtime victory over McCormick (S.C.) in the second round of the 1A state playoffs.

Clemson defensive tackle commit Darnell Jefferies and Newton (Covington, Ga.) suffered a heartbreaking 42-35, double-overtime loss to Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) in the first round of the 7A state playoffs. Jefferies made a spectacular touchdown catch with 15 seconds remaining in regulation to set up the game-tying extra point that sent it to overtime.

Defensive end commit Justin Mascoll and South Gwinnett (Snellville, Ga.) fell to Brookwood (Snellville) 28-0 in the first round of the 7A state playoffs.

Clemson commits Xavier Thomas, Mike Jones and IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) conclude the season with a 7 p.m. home game against Bishop Sullivan (Virginia Beach, Va.) on Saturday.

As for the class of 2019, Clemson safety commit Joseph Charleston and Milton (Alpharetta, Ga.) cruised by Collins Hill (Suwanee, Ga.) 44-15 in the opening round of the 7A state playoffs. Charleston returned an interception 23 yards for a touchdown that extended Milton’s lead to 34-7 in the third quarter.

Meanwhile, Clemson commit Brannon Spector and Calhoun (Ga.) defeated five-star offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer and Pace Academy (Atlanta) 27-3 in the first round of the AAA state playoffs. Spector caught a touchdown pass as time expired in the third quarter to essentially put the game away.

TCI was on location at Calhoun to see Spector and Salyer as part of our Tour of Champions series. You can check out all of our Tour of Champions coverage here.
