Clemson has offered Central (S.C.) Daniel 2020 athlete Tyler Venables, he announced via social media on Saturday.
Tyler is the son of Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables. He is the younger brother of Jake Venables, a linebacker in the 2018 class that is committed to Clemson.
In 10 games as a sophomore this season, Tyler rushed for 198 yards and four touchdowns. He also completed 51-of-106 passes for 640 yards and six touchdowns.
Defensively, he recorded 16 tackles, including three tackles for loss, along with a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception.
The Clemson Insider watched Tyler play earlier this season during our Tour of Champions. Not only did he rack up tackles from his safety position, but he also showed off his skills with a big punt return.
Tyler also has an offer from Nevada.
