As a junior last season, Swanson averaged 46 yards per punt and made 5-of-7 field goal attempts.
Clemson has extended a full scholarship offer to Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy 2019 punter Aidan Swanson, he announced via social media Monday.
“I am humbled and blessed to receive a full scholarship offer from Clemson University!” Swanson wrote in a Twitter post.
Swanson previously held a preferred walk-on offer from Clemson, an opportunity he received following his performance at the Dabo Swinney Camp last June.
Clemson got Swanson on campus again Saturday for the program’s junior day. He also visited Clemson for the Georgia Tech and The Citadel games last season.
Swanson’s mother is a Clemson graduate, while he has relatives who reside in the Palmetto State.
TCI spoke with Swanson after his visit for The Citadel game in November, and he told us that Clemson “feels like home” to him.
“Clemson is where I feel at home, and when the timing is right to commit I will,” he said then. “But Clemson feels like home to me.”
Swanson also has offers from Nebraska and UCF. He is rated as the No. 1 2019 punter by Kornblue kicking and No. 9 by Kohl’s kicking.
