Offers have started to roll in for Concord (N.C.) Central Cabarrus 2019 linebacker Derek Boykins.
Boykins (6-2, 215) received his latest scholarship offer from Clemson on Wednesday, according to the official Twitter account of the Central Cabarrus football team.
Since late February, Boykins has picked up offers from Texas A&M, South Carolina, NC State, Duke, North Carolina and others. The Tar Heels gave him his first major offer on Feb. 20.
After a standout junior season, Boykins was named Central Cabarrus’s Defensive Skill Player of the Year.
Boykins is originally from Beaufort, S.C.
