Lee: Hennessy just what the doctor ordered

Clemson head coach Monte Lee had hoped to be able to finish Friday’s game against Georgia Tech with two pitchers, and Jacob Hennessy’s gem set that up perfectly.

The sophomore left-hander pitched a career-high 7.0 innings, allowing just six hits, two runs and no walks with seven strikeouts. Senior right-hander Ryan Miller (2-0) then earned the win by pitching the final 2.0 innings of the Tigers’ 3-2 victory.
