Clemson took the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning Friday in the season opener against Liberty.

Elijah Henderson walked before Kier Meredith reached on a fielder’s choice. Meredith then reached second on an error on a pick-off play. With two outs Adam Hackenberg singled to left to score Meredith, giving the Tigers a 2-1 lead after five innings.
