With three starters out, the Clemson defense gave up 209 yards and 21 points in the first half to Boston College Saturday.

But in the second half, the Tigers’ defense held the Eagles to 66 yards and no points, as they rallied for a 34-28 victory at Death Valley. In doing so, Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables could not hold back the excitement he has for his young defensive players.
