The Clemson football program has picked up a new commitment from a highly touted defensive back prospect.
Lagrange (Ga.) Troup County four-star safety Noah Dixon announced his verbal pledge to the Tigers on Monday afternoon.
Dixon (6-2, 185) is ranked as high as the No. 96 overall prospect in the 2024 class by Rivals, which considers him the No. 9 safety in his class.
Clemson played host to Dixon on Saturday for the program’s elite junior day.
He received an offer from the Tigers last June.
In addition to Clemson, Dixon held other offers from schools such as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.
He becomes the fifth commitment in Clemson’s 2024 recruiting class, joining Meadowcreek High School (Norcross, Ga.) four-star defensive lineman Champ Thompson, Marian Central Catholic (Woodstock, Illinois) four-star tight end Christian Bentancur, Carrollwood Day (Tampa, Fla.) four-star cornerback Tavoy Feagin and Hough (Cornelius, N.C.) kicker Nolan Hauser.
