CLEMSON – After surviving a possible trap game against previously undefeated Syracuse, Clemson returns home to Memorial Stadium this Saturday for its only home game in October against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
Clemson will kickoff against the Deacs at 3:30 p.m. The game will be televised by the ACCN.
The media got a chance to speak with wide receiver Beaux Collins earlier this week about the Tigers’ Homecoming game.
–Collins mentioned the impact of a couple true freshman and how it is affecting his personal performance. “I just saw his [Tyler Brown] ability to be explosive. He is a really quick, speedy dude and that is something that we just didn’t have these past couple of years. He’s able to make plays that freshman normally don’t at practice.”
–Collins spoke about his break away double move for a touchdown against Syracuse. He said, “Oh yeah, that has definitely been one of my most open touchdowns I’ve had here so far, when the ball is in the air for that long, you are just thinking ‘Don’t drop it.’ Balls like that, it seems like they are in the air for hours, so those are pretty much the toughest balls for me.”
–Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik has continued to make strides this season, passing for 263 yards on 23-of-37 passing. Collins touched on the improvement of his quarterback by saying, “He seems like he is not rattled by anything, not one bit. He has grown a lot in the pocket, stepping up to make certain throws and even when he has to exit (the pocket) he is still looking to throw the ball down field. I feel like that is the big jump that he has made.”
