Clemson handed South Carolina a 16-7 loss this past Saturday in Columbia, and in the process, the Tigers (8-4) kept the Gamecocks (5-7) from becoming bowl eligible.
Fomer Clemson player Harold “Dutch” Coleman took to X (formerly Twitter) this week, reacting to South Carolina failing to reach bowl eligibility and taking a shot at the Tigers’ in-state rival:
This will seem like a shot at our rival, & while it's definitely a shot at them, no question about that, & with all certainty & intent, it's still a general statement.
It's pretty hard to consistently not be bowl eligible. Maybe once. But all the time? #Dobetter #yallstink #smh

Coleman walked on to the Clemson football team in 1991 and married Itoro Coleman, former Clemson women’s basketball player and head coach from 2010-13. He also hosted a radio show in the Upstate while his wife coached the Lady Tigers.
While the Gamecocks may not be going bowling this year, Clemson clinched bowl eligibility for a 25th consecutive season with its win over Georgia Tech on Nov. 11. Clemson’s streak of bowl eligibility is the third longest active streak in the country.
