Clemson played host to this stout Sunshine State O-line prospect last month.
Pace (Fla.) High School class of 2026 interior offensive lineman Grant Wise was an unofficial visitor for the Tigers’ 42-21 victory over Georgia Tech at Death Valley on Nov. 11.
“The atmosphere was electric!” Wise said.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound sophomore participated in Dabo Swinney’s football camp the summer before his freshman year, but this marked his first gameday experience at Clemson.
“My favorite part was listening to coach Swinney in the locker room,” Wise said, “and watching the players run down the hill!”
Wise holds a dozen scholarship offers already, including offers from schools such as Florida, Florida State, Miami, Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Mississippi State and Boston College.
What does he know about Clemson’s interest in him and where things stand with the Tigers early in the recruiting process?
“I know Clemson really takes their time in the recruiting process,” he said, “and believe they are following me as a recruit.”
Wise said he heard a lot during the visit “about the family atmosphere and how everyone at Clemson cares for each other beyond football.”
Wise is high on Clemson following his first gameday visit, and added that an offer to play for the Tigers in the future “would mean a lot” to him.
“I love the school, what they believe in and their overall program,” he said.
Wise has been a beast on the offensive front to begin his high school career. Per his X (formerly Twitter) account, he has racked up 199 pancake blocks while not allowing a sack across his freshman and sophomore seasons (21 games).
