Luke wants O-Line to go 100 Percent

CLEMSON – Bowl prep is in full swing for the Clemson Tigers as they prepare to head down to Jacksonville, Fla. on Dec 29 to take on the Kentucky Wildcats in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.

The media had a chance to speak with offensive lineman Blake Miller earlier this week.

–Miller immediately touched on the impact new offensive line coach Matt Luke has made with the group, “he’s a very high energy guy. I think he really brings the energy to practice, and it is infectious with everyone, I think everyone is flying around and doing great out there and there is some new technique things to learn but he has told us he wants us to go 100 percent and we can work on the technique after that”.

–Miller who was recruited and brought in by Thomas Austin definitely took it tough when he learned of the coaching change, “I mean obviously you know there is nothing I could do about it and all I can do is just give him my all every day and do the best that I can and try to be the best player that I can… it’s a business at the end of the day and you know whatever Coach Swinney does I am going to roll with”.

–Miller had this to say about bowl prep and what it takes to win in the postseason, “we want to make a statement, we want to show that we are a physical o-line, Coach Swinney was saying after practice that these bowl games are won in the trenches, and we definitely want to win this game in the trenches”.

The Tigers will continue to practice for the next week before heading down to Jacksonville on Dec. 24 to finish up prep for the Gator Bowl.
