According to Schefter’s report, Higgins hoped to stay in Cincinnati but the lack of a long-term deal has made it turn sour. Higgins had 257 catches for 3,684 yards and 24 touchdowns as a Bengal.
The franchise tag was expected to pay Higgins $21.8 million next season but the trade request means he’s looking for an extended contract elsewhere.
